CCL engages in different programmes such as, among others, Good Governance and Human rights. CCL focuses on education on Good Governance and Human Rights, civic education, election monitoring and observation, conflict management and transformation and rights based advocacy.
Good Governance Human Rights
The council through its Good governance programme and Heads of churches seeks to promote good governance and respect for human rights.
Food Security & Climate Justice
We are focused on “availability at all times of adequate world food supplies of basic foodstuffs to sustain a steady expansion of food consumption.
Media & Ecumenism
This program focuses on proper re-positioning and branding, information dissemination and organizational communication, events publicity.
Gender & Health Justice
We are highly involved in matters of gender equity and equality, education on HIV and AIDS and TB, support and care of vulnerable groups and skills development.
Extractives
The extractives industries programme aims to ensure that environment, community, water are secured and to promote contribution and dialogue.
The CCL has been assisted by different partners for a while to carry its mandate and promote peace building efforts. Most support has been in the area of mediation and dialogue, and appreciated limited direct financial support occasionally.
